opium war- imperialism in china

The opium war all started with a trade between the british and china, it was the very first drug war in the 19th century. Some people refer to as angelo-chinese war, opium is made from a juice of poppy seapods and it would later be produced into heroin. Back in the 18th century, Opium is regulary used as a medicene, by the 1800's the black market changed it into a drug which cause millions of people from china to get addicted. Commissioner Lin Zexu had battled the problem of drug use in the provinces of Hubei and Hunan, and he now attempted to eliminate opium. He blockaded the foreign community, stopped trade, ordered Chinese servants to leave, arrested a leading foreign dealer, and demanded that the merchants surrender their inventory of opium. When the war began, the chinese were no match for the britsh due to the military poorly trained. The treaty of nanjing had to make china give up opium and hong kong to the british.

Mountains of the moon

One of the hardships that the Europeans faced is that they had to fight for their lives. People got diseases, people died they had very little water. It was strange because africa is a black country and the queen is a white woman. They were more civilized the africans had spears and the europeians had guns so we had better weaponry thats why it was easy to conquer africa.

Imperialism Project

It was to show the countries that the Europeans conquered in parts of the Americas, and Africa. It showed the divisions of the countries in those continents. We also showed the shipping routes and what they traded to each other. I learned that many countries were conquered by various European countries such as Great Britain and Spain. I also learned things they traded such as Gold and Silver. I learned that slavery was also involved in Africa and South america. Some diseases were spread in many different countrys near South America causing half of the population decreasing.

Karl Marx and communism

Kar marx, He believed that capitalism would destroy the south. The reason why he believed this was due to the fact that he saw 2 great classes in capitalism at war with each other. The first was proletariet or the working class and the second class was the bourgeoisie or the owners of businesses. He believed that that the proletariet would eventually begin a revolution and take over the country. Then they would controll all the businesses.

Karl Marx and The Industrial Revolution

Karl Marx was born in May 5, 1818, he was a german philosopher. Marx worked in a factory before in Europe, but he was dismayed. Due to the factory conditions were said to be harsh and very unsafe. He was a Communist. He made up and wrote a book about " Communism ". He started it during the Industrial Revolution. The Industrial Revolution is when factories increased, including the pollution, many transportations has been created and many cities were growing. Communism is basically about equality to everyone, but with the control of the government.

Karl Marx didn't like the idea of Capitalism, where everyone works independently and people are treated differently. He thought that whole idea of Capitalism was unfair, so he thought his idea would benefit a lot of people. He was tired of the industrial revolution. He didn't like the conditions of it either. Though Communism is about equality, it was still a very strict government, and it failed. Theres still countries today that have communism, but only a few.

Nationalism and the Creation of Italy

Nationlism means tht people are fighting and supporting their country. The people who are nationalism doesnt support the king or being loyal to them. The people are only loyal to the ones who shared the same bonds and also for nationalism. Nationalism can be both unifying or disunifying. It helped itlay gain freedom. Italy became italy beacause of a guy named Giuseppe Garibaldi and the red shirts united the different parts of Italy. On the other hand nationalism has torn apart countries. All we need to do is look at the examples of the Ottoman Empire,The Austro-Hungarian Empire, And the Russian Empire.

I can also be a nationalistic because i may not be loyal to family. I have to do my best of what i can do for my country and to support my family in order to complete my goals for the future.

John Locke "The Enlightment"

What Thomas Jefferson means he wants everyone to have these specific right these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. The government got its powers from principles and a good foundation. Most governments were absolute monarchies. This meant that the king had total control and the people had no rights. Thomas Jefferson was probably the most famous of the American Revolution.Jefferson was himself influenced by the ideas of John Locke. All we have to is compare Locke`s ideas about life liberty and the pursuit of property and Jefferson's idea is about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.Another one of Locke`s ideas is that the government got its power from the people. This is an important idea of democracy in america up to today.

copernicus and the trial of galileo

Geocentric was the first theory that came out in the scientific method. The Heilocentrism theory came out of the scientific revolution. The heilocentrism is right because the earth is not in the center of the universe. The sun is the galileo trial which was that he had to say he was wrong or else they would have to kill him. He believed in his ideas and the church believed in the bible thats why they didn't like him.

Heliocentric, the geocentric explanation of the solar system is that the Earth was the center of everything, and everything else revolves around it. Back in the day, this idea was popular among the Greeks and the Chinese. Philosophers also thought that the stars, sun, and planets circled the Earth in a perfectly circle motion.

The heliocentrism explanation of the solar system is that the Sun is the center of everything, and all the other planets revolve around it. The planets that circle the Sun circle the sun an an elliptical shape. Heliocentrism is the only correct explanation of our solar system. Nicoluas Copernicus mathematically proved the heliocentrism explanation of the solar system right. Johaness Kepler helped expand this idea. Heliocentrism was developed by the scientific revolution.Lots Of Religions are strongly against this theory becuase it conflicted with their religion. Today, almost everyone accepts this theory.

Scientific Revolution: The Scientific Method

Many people in the half of the world don't believe in science, but when proven scientists prove the theories by using the scientific method. Scientists used predictions and knowledge to test the experiment or theory. Some are proven to be true or not and some are unknown to the world. The scientific method is best known as scientists using their logical search around the universe using their knowledge and finding the best evidence to prove the world about their theories. Aristole and other greek scholars were the first ones to prove their theory about the speed drop of a heavy rock and a light rock.
Ever since aristole proved his theory in 1,500 years ago. In the late 1500, a young man tested this theory. He went up to a tower dropping different weights of each stone to the ground. He proved aristole wrong due to the stones were dropping at the same speed.

Evolution vs Creation

Evolution involves more with human genetics, past ancestors, plants, or many ecosystems tht continue to grow on earth including science. Human evolution is the main part of evolution, even ancestors that continues on the person's bloodline. The human evolution can began with an animal with a somewhat shape of a human form like apes. Even animals who has different genetics but same species which is called natural selection. Birds who has different beaks but are the same species would be a natural selection.
Creation started from any religion, people who believed in creation mostly believes in religion beliefs. Creation believed that god created the life of the living including animals and also earth. Some people also believe in the bible which has readings about creation of the life, earth, and the universe. Religious people believed in the supernatural like ghosts, curses, or the afterlife of the dead.
What i believe in more would be evolution because of the scientific explainations of the planet and behind the ecosystems of the earth. The science behind the growth of plants is convincing to me, Including human births from the male and female
