The russian revolution
In 1914, the russian goverment considered Germany as a threat to their territory. This was then Germany's decision to form a triple alliance with Austria- Hungary and italy. The Russian army was the largest army in the nation but Russia's poor road and railways made the effective deployment for the soldiers difficult. The economic factors were the main factors contributing to the Revolution, as they resulted in poverty, misery and exploitation of the masses by the nobility.Russia was mainly a highly backward agricultural country before the revolution. The royal family, the nobility and the clergy owned most of the agricultural land. Only between three and ten acres of land was owned by 70% of the peasants. Many of them had to earn their livelihood only 2½ acres land or even less. In addition they had to use primitive tools, implements and methods of cultivation, which were not very productive. After the october revolution, the new bolshevik goverment abolished private ownerships of land and began distributing it among the peasents. During the civil war, the goverment decided to introduce what became known as war communism

Causes of WW1
World War 1, was the tine when leaders had the agression towards other countries and being supported by the rising nationalism of the European nations. Economic and imperial competition and fear of war prompted military alliances and an arms race, which further escalated the tension contributing to the outbreak of war. After the year 1907, the military was increased in policy making. In 1914, the Russian generals were also able to force the Czar to accept full mobilization. They threatened him with the danger of defeat if he acted contrarily. Europe had reached its breaking point when on June 28, 1914, Archduke Francis Ferdinand, heir to the Austria-Hungarian throne, was assasinated in Sarajevo, Bosnia, by a Serbian nationalist belonging to an organization known as the black hand. These were the results that started World War 1.
